PHP / Symfony Gitpod workspace

Showcase
PHP / Symfony Gitpod workspace
On my way to check the updates from the newest Symfony framework version, I was too lazy to do all the local setup. So searching for some cloud dev environments I found Gitpod. The interesting part is the setup we can do and share. From Port configuration to docker image setup, and even command execution. Sharing here the workspace I just created for my future study around the latest Symfony updates (version 6). Use the demo button to try it yourself Feel free to create pull requests to impro

.Net Core for PHP engineers - Part I

Showcase
.Net Core for PHP engineers - Part I
Learning new technologies these days is becoming cheap and easy. Every day I see people of all ages, finding some content on the internet and quickly starting to build very interesting applications. Just like those “freetimehobbyoriented engineers”, fulltime engineers get comfortable with a couple of languages and frameworks and get specialized in them (even with the risk of turning to be framework experts rather than software experts). What happens then when we see other people getting spec

Stepping up in your career

Braindump
You know… being a techie it’s not all about coding, design patterns, architecture, and funny memes while our project is being scrutinized by the CI/CD pipeline and running the tests. Part of it is also progressing, evolving, and fulfilling our personal goals (and sometimes aiming for bigger salaries). So far, I’m learning the basics: basic types, functions, statements. The only negative aspect so far? It doesn’t support ternary expression (I.e.: a==b ? c : d ) Next steps? More knowledge around lang

TotallyWasted, The drinking game
There I was with some friends before Covid19 crashed the party Looking for some reasons, the funny ones, to drink with friends while playing some games we ended up playing a game between us that would lead to drinking if you met some conditions. After a few days, we repeated the game. So, when it happens twice it's a pattern so I had to find a solution VueJs website with an array of messages and a fancy slide plugin could do the trick Done a drinking game is always with us on the smartphone
